The Bible is the only Book that tells us,

  Where We Came From,

     Why We Are Here, and

         Where We Are Going.

Where Did We Come From?

(According to the Bible)

Genesis: 1:26-31

(Written by Moses)

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Psalm 139:13-14

(A Psalm of David)

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

The Bible teaches us that we were created by the very hand of God, and that even the reproduction process itself is controlled and fashioned by the hand of God.

Psalm 71:6

By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

John Chapter 1:1-5; 10-14

(We see the LORD Jesus Christ as the great Creator)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not... He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Where did we come from?

We were created by the very hand of God.

Why Are We Here?

(According to the Bible)

Revelation 4:11

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

We have been created by the very hand of God for His pleasure.

We are here to bring honor and glory to our Creator, the LORD Jesus Christ.

We are here to witness to a lost and dying world about the good news of Jesus Christ!

Mark 16:15-16

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

What is the Gospel? (Good News)

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Why Are We Here?

To bring pleasure, honor, and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Where are we going?

(According to the Bible)

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We are headed for eternal life if we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 3:36

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Jesus is the Life Giver. He gives eternal life to all that believe in Him. Those that reject the gift of eternal life extended to every soul by Jesus, will suffer eternal separation from Him.

John 3:18

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The thief on the cross was guilty of many things; possibly even murder. But in the last few moments of his agonizing life he looked over to the Lord Jesus Christ and said, very simply, "Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom." (Luke 23:42)

At that very crucial moment in his life, he reached out to the Lord Jesus in belief, and Christ said, "Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:43)

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Note very carefully the word "gift" in the above verse. A "gift" is something that is given freely to another, usually out of a heart of love. If eternal life is a "GIFT," and it is, then God has given eternal life to us freely when we believe upon His name.

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Please understand that you don't go to heaven because of your goodness!

You'll never be good enough to earn heaven!

Christ opened the door to eternal life when He poured His own blood out on Calvary's Cross to cover your sinfulness.

And when we believe this truth, and we say, "Lord Jesus, remember me that I might one day come into your kingdom," He will remember you because you have called upon His name.

Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:9

if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ?

Do you believe that God raised Christ from the dead?

If you answered yes to both of these questions, according to the Holy Scriptures, you have been saved from God's judgment of this world to come.

The Bible is the Only Book that tells us where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going.
